Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Our culture embraces diversity, equity and inclusion – strength comes through celebrating our differences. We value everyone's views and ideas and give every employee the same opportunities to fulfil their potential and thrive.

We are a member of the Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion (ENEI) – a leading promoter of equality and inclusion in the workplace, and we continue to work closely with them to strengthen our diversity and inclusion efforts.

Health and wellbeing

Everyone matters at Pacific Life Re and so does their health and wellbeing. Our local wellbeing champions lead some excellent activities, including team walks, art therapy, puppy therapy, cupcake decorating and much more. We also regularly hold learning sessions supported by Smart About Health, a team of highly specialised and experienced clinicians, which cover both physical and mental health issues such as managing menopause, men's health and living with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

Family friendly

Family is everything, especially when it’s new! To help you enjoy every precious moment, we provide generous family leave policies (maternity and paternity) in all our locations. We aim to support families in their choices, allowing greater flexibility and promoting a gender-equal culture through adapting to the changing gender norms in childcare and work. We also offer time off for fertility treatment, should you need it, and for those with caring responsibilities.

Celebrating success

Working hard is important, as is socialising and bonding with your fellow colleagues. That’s why our social committees organise regular activities on top of our annual summer and winter parties!

Philanthropy

Our global philanthropy programme is an international expansion of the philanthropic investment that the Pacific Life Foundation has been undertaking since its establishment in 1984.

The global programme provides US$850,000 per annum for Pacific Life Re and UnderwriteMe to support a number of charity partners. This support is both financial and through employee volunteering, giving everyone the opportunity to get involved.

Aligning with the Pacific Life Foundation’s objectives, we are selecting charity partners within our three focus areas: Financial Security/Literacy, Food Security and Ocean Health.
