Our charity partners

We support charities partners that align with our strategic objectives within three key areas: ocean health, food security and financial education

Ocean health

Waterways Watch Society

We’re partnering with the Waterways Watch Society in Singapore. They’re an independent environmental charity established in 1998, with a mission to bring people together to love the waters and to inspire stewardship for our environment.

The team really enjoyed their volunteering opportunities with the charity and look forward to contributing further to their mission of waterway conservation.

Thames21

In London, we are delighted to support Thames21, a charity dedicated to improving the rivers and canals around London for people and wildlife. Our London office employees regularly help with clean-ups and habitat restoration and we are a proud sponsor of London Rivers Week. You can read more about this here.

Ocean conservancy

Ocean Conservancy has partnered with us in both Toronto and Sydney where our employees undertake beach clean ups. In addition to clearing the immediate rubbish, we also use this opportunity to measure the types of waste that end up in our waterways and oceans so that the charity can target actions to prevent items from entering these ecosystems in the first place.

Food security

Supporting our communities

Funding the greatest needs of the community and providing stability for people most underserved has been at the core of the Pacific Life Foundation’s philanthropic mission since its inception. We believe that food security is critical to the stability of our communities and the health, well-being, and economic empowerment of its individuals.

We’ve established partnerships in our main locations with amazing charities who do such incredible work in this area and volunteering has become a regular event for many of our employees.

Financial Education

COLLEGE AND WORK READINESS

We’ve partnered with several charities who support students from under-resourced backgrounds to help unlock their potential. In the UK we’re working with The Access Project who match up volunteer tutors (some of whom come from Pacific Life Re) with students to support them through GCSEs and A levels. We also provide mentors to help with university applications.

Junior Achievement is a charity dedicated to offering training to students between 10 and 18 years of age teaching work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.  We regularly volunteer at schools who are part of this programme and provide financial support to both charities.

Dress for Success

Dress for Success empowers women to get into the workplace from positions of disadvantage by providing professional clothing and styling, interview coaching and ongoing support once they rejoin the workplace.

With bases in London, Toronto and Sydney we’re able to make a difference to many women’s lives through running career development days and also volunteering with the charity helping sort clothing and style the women who visit the charity.
